Netcentric Campaigns Active Projects

"It's the action, not the fruit of the action, that's important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there will be any fruit. But that doesn't mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Learning Through Action. Better Perspectives Gained From Movement

There are people that write and talk about networks and network building but the work is a skill. It is like reading about swimming or bike riding. You are not likely to pick up a skill without practice. Don’t place much faith in instructions from people about how to swim until you see them in the water. Projects are the root of our practices and learning. In addition to training, our teams and fellows actively engage in hands-on work building networks and supporting people putting network building into action.

To the casual review, the work from the villages in Ghana, to the city of Pittsburgh may not seem related. They are. The good people that we serve, whether they are working to save Rhinos, fight human trafficking, or fighting the harms of fracking, are all struggling with some very solvable network building problems. Problems that Netcentric Campaigns helps them solve again and again.

Our vision is as a nonprofit, to continue to elevate network building for the field and tools available for network builders, to work in service to more organizers and causes, to create a strong connection among practitioners, all to accelerate the success of public interest social cause work. The work is necessary. The work is hard. The work is important. We are good at it.
